Course information

Registrations for this course are closed.

This is a great opportunity to obtain the 'State Umpire' qualification which is the starting point in the officiating pathway.  From the State Umpire level you may progress to the National Umpire level and then the International level.  The course will provide knowledge of the rules of table tennis, how they are applied, the umpire calls and hand signals and the process that umpires follow when umpiring at major events.

It is appreciated that not everyone will want to progress from the State Umpire level, and that is fine, but simply obtain a greater understanding of the rules of the sport of table tennis to assist within the operation of their own Club or Association.

Country players especially are invited to participate in this course as for the first time the bulk of the course and examination may be completed online - There will be further information about the online process later.

If a State Umpire has held their qualification for at least two years then they are eligible to sit the examination to become a National Umpire.
