Level 1 Coaching Course - Nov 2023
Details
K Crowell, SA State Coach will be delivering a Level 1 Coaching Course at the East Adelaide Club on Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th November 2023. Registrations are being accepted online. Note - having TOPS coaching accreditation is a pre-requisite to attend.
Table Tennis Australia - TTA Coaching Level 1 Course

Registrations for this course are closed.
The course will cost all participants $300.00 to cover TTA course documentation, administration, course delivery, and refreshments across the 2 day course. Participants are to bring their own lunch each day of the course. The course will be held at the East Adelaide Table Tennis Club (Stradbroke Road, Newton) commencing at 9.30 am on Saturday, 11 November and conclude at approximately 3.00 pm. on sunday, 12 November 2023.
The Level 1 Coaching qualification is designed to educate coaches in the basic and advanced skills of table tennis, as well as general coaching principles.
The course is directed towards coaches and players who are looking to coach junior development programs at club level.
Course Requirements
1. Qualified as a TTA Level 0 TOPS Coach
2. Complete TTA Level 1 Table Tennis Course (2 Days)
3. Competency in all 5 Assessment Tools;
- Tool 1 - Community Coaching Essential Skills - Pre-Course Assessment
- Tool 2 - Session Planning - In or Post-Course Assessment
- Tool 3 - Practical Coaching - Sessions - Post-Course Assessment
- Tool 4 - Practical Coaching - Skill Techniques & Multiball - In or Post-Course Assessment
- Tool 5 - Written Exam - In-Course Assessment
4. Coaching practice completed;
- 10 hours supervised by an Accredited Level 2 or 3 Coach & documented
- 20 hours of additional coaching documented
5. Be a current participant or life member of TTA
6. Hold a current Working with Children Check (or State equivalent)

It should be noted that before a coach can undertake coaching activity in South Australia, Table Tennis South Australia requires that the coach obtain a Department of Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI) ‘working with children' history assessment clearance
